What Local Native Plant Is That?

Collection Tips

Find  the nametags the EXPERT has tied to the plants.

Take a cutting of each named plant.  It doesn't need to be very big, but should show as many features as possible.  If there are flowers or fruit, these should be included.

Put it straight into a plastic bag to keep it as cool and fresh as possible.  For small delicate specimens, you could take an old phone book with you and put the cutting directly into that.  Don't forget to write the name so you know what it is.

Collect the nametag when you are quite sure you can identify the plant on your next visit.   Keep it with the cutting.

It is a good idea to take a photograph of the whole plant while the tag is still on it.   You can add this photo to your Herbarium PLUS.
