Who
Thanks to Eumundi Market Manager Peter Homan, a new Green Corner was established with NICA coordinating its hosting with other enviornmental groups.
Since November 2009, NICA, Noosa & District Landcare, Wildlife Volunteers (WILVOS), Noosa Biosphere Environment Board and Green Sunshine have hosted the Green Corner.

On 28th August, the market launched its new three-bin system, separating recyclable, compostable and landfill wastes. This new system facilitates recovery of resources, notably compostable waste which can be turned into soil conditioner or fertilizer. NICA came up with the idea of colour coded aprons (red for landfill, yellow for recyclable & green for compostable wastes). This was met with great enthusiasm, with many stall holders requesting aprons to wear on the day to reinforce the messages.
